Been a while....but it's a good thing!

Hello world! Been a LONG time since I've blogged about the running journey! So, let's catch up, shall we?!

I am not doing LMP during training anymore, as that was fatiguing my legs and while I felt stronger physically, I was also drained due to the extreme amount of workouts combined with the rest of life. When you work close to 13 hour shifts at night, regardless of it being 3 days a week, it messes with your sleep/workout/life schedule!

I've run two 5K's with good times! My last 5K was the Christmastown 5K in McAdenville, NC and I ran it in 45.46, which is a 14.46 pace. While that may seem "slow" since I'm shooting for a comfortable 15 min/mile during both races, I have to state that I ran 8 miles the night before and was not feeling great after that run. To know that I can make that pace time, after running over a 10K, gives me great hope for the back to back races at WDW!

I have started Tai Cheng, in hopes of gaining more mobility back with my body and to balance and reset.

This week has another 3 miles with Magic Mile at the end of the week! Hoping I can really do better on this, as my last one was pretty rough (my leg cramped within the first 20 steps of running).

My girlfriend gave me my early Christmas presents of new Brooks running shoes, running gloves (its getting cold!) and a new balaclava! Combined with compression socks I bought, with clif running gel, I'm getting excited about race day!

34 days!!

There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow...
